Find windows lockscreen images

If you see a nice picture on the Windows lockscreen and want to save it;

  1. Open file explorer and paste %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets
  2. Either a) Open each file with VLC1 b) Copy the files to somewhere else and append .jpg

Voila

  1. I believe VLC uses magic numbers for detecting format and Win media player seems to just use the extension ↩
