Cause of Burnout

This has been going on for a long time now and I’m not really sure how to resolve this issue of mine. Sleeping it off won’t help with anything (obviously), so I decided to write something about my experiences and thoughts that could help myself and you (in case you’re going through the same situation).

I used have full of energy that I don’t run out of things to do. I draw, I read, I watch anime, and sometimes play games; a very normal thing to do for a person of my age. Me getting burnt out on something started when the pandemic struck, but I was able to get back on doing my hobbies happily in just a few days. This time was different and it’s been going on for a year (or two now). Everyday I feel very tired and don’t feel like doing anything, even though there’s a lot of things I would like to do.

So, what do I think I can do to help myself overcome this? To be able to do that, I first need to know the cause of me getting burnt out.

Getting burnt out is usually the cause of doing a task repetetively for a prolonged period of time (at least how I usually see it in most people’s cases). I like studying a lot (though I’m not really an efficient learner), so maybe that is the cause… I still don’t think so. Just like I said before, I’d like to do a lot of stuffs. Now let’s think of a pipe and the tasks that I’d like to do are things that I put inside the pipe. It should fit well and pass through smoothly, right? Now let’s say I tried putting a lot of things at once into the pipe. Will it fit? Of couse not. The pipe and my mind are both clogged and can’t really do anything at all.

Now I have some solutions that could help with my problem: organize, schedule my tasks and do them one at a time. I’m not really sure if I would be able to follow this thing I just came up with though.
