I was out with two friends, somewhere in the south-east part of a large downtown area. We wanted to buy some groceries then go to V’s or my place to eat. Instead of merely grabbing stuff from the aisles, paying and then walking home, I wanted to use Deliveroo and become a delivery driver so someone would grab stuff from the aisles for me and I would get paid to bring my own order home.

I was on a bicycle, and I found it very difficult to navigate the city center’s streets, avoid cars on the roads and pedestrians on the sidewalks, while also looking at the app to get directions. It looked like there was a significant amount of lag, so the map was never that up to date, and I could not tell the destination that the app was set to. I thought it was set to head to my place, so I tried to go there, but the directions took me to some place that I did not know about and I was lost.

I remember getting a more general overview of the city at the beginning of my dream, which is why I know that we initially were south-east. That map did not look like my actual city at all, so it’s no wonder I was lost.

I tried to take what looked like a boulevard, thinking that I was headed north and would cross a street I know better that would let me reach my home. I did not check the app to see where I was at. I got busy avoiding pedestrians, semis and cars at small crossings, while on a bicycle path that only had one lane. The opposite sidewalk had another lane for cyclists going the other way. But it looked like I was going in a complete direction instead.
