This week our family cat, Bubbles, died after 19 years of bouncing around and making us smile. She was always there, from before I was a teenager, staying up late nights with me as I hid from the world and learned how to make and break computers.
I'm incredibly sad that she's gone. It reminds me that nothing, and no one, is permanent. She was so giving, loving and happy.
Today, I'm mentally and physically exhausted. It's been a week of lots of social interaction and, as an introvert, my tank is empty. Today will be a day to myself on the tildeverse and fediverse, before Mrs lrb and I head off to Bristol for a couple of days finding good food!
I'm trying to think of some little scripts I could write to contribute to envs, but so much is covered already...
We had a few days away in the Henley/Marlow area this week, and it was great to get away.
One thing I've realised is my tolerance for crowds of people has gone down a lot since the lockdown this year - I just wanted everyone to pi$$ off!

I'm currently working on moving my files over to syncthing, which is going very very well indeed...
I'm also planning some simple console-based applications to quickly view and manage CalDAV/CardDAV feeds. I'll post here when they are ready :)
