sunday evening

staying up late really had an effect on my day today. i mainly just took it easy. no coding today or studying anything. it was a well deserved day of rest. i'll pick things back up tomorrow

monday afternoon

i'm finding myself wanting to study coding some more. i think i've grown unhappy with freeCodeCamp's do everything in the browser approach. making my homepage had me working on my own machine. i would code, preview, troulbeshoot, and commit and push to git. it was a comforting workflow, and i think i'd like to replicate it while learning. i think this means i may have a lot of interest in following The Odin Project to continue studying. i'm not in a huge hurry though. frankly i think i need a little break. i'm not looking to be a software engineer so this can really be done at my pace

saturday evening

i feel pretty good overall. i worked on my website and got a little webpage created for ~emma on this shell account. i'm not sure what i see myself doing here just yet. i really enjoy web development. i think i could see having some more techie or nerdy web projects here. yeah, i think i like that idea. that will require some more learning on my part though, which i'm really looking forward to!

things i accomplished today:

sunday morning

i didn't sleep much. i was up for a little bit tweaking the css of this blog a little. i like the layout, but i wanted to give it a touch of me. i'm not sure if i'm happy with the colors yet. i guess i'll see if they grow on me. i kind of started bouncing around between activities last night and before i knew it, it was 4 in the morning. quite late for me to be up, so probably a lazy sunday today :)

hello world

i just signed up for an envs shell account and was approved recently. i really enjoy the personal web. i've been learning web development as a hobby to express myself. you might like my website https://emmas.place i have also been interested in linux for a long time. i use it on my home pc, and would like to learn more about it. i like the social aspect of envs, which is similar to other communities i am in. i would like to be more social with my neighbors on the personal web and i think joining a tilde server like envs would be a great way to do that!
